NS Modular is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Rig Welder, whose primary responsibility is to perform high quality welding in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform high quality welding in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures
  • Set up, operate, and maintain rig welding equipment safely and efficiently
  • Conduct welds that meet or exceed quality standards with minimal rework
  • Collaborate with other trades personnel and crew members to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule
  • Identify hazards and comply with all company safety policies legislative requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

 

What You Bring to the Table

  • Must provide proof of Welder Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate
  • Valid CWB welding certification and required insurance tickets
  • Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, FCAW welding processes
  • Experience in industrial, construction, or live plant environment is an asset
  • Proven experience with stainless steel pipe welding in industrial or outage environments
  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining rig welding equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, layout, and fitting skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must have Fall Protection from Energy Safety Canada, CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015 safety tickets
  • First Aid is an asset
  • Capable of working in various working conditions
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to use judgement and apply discretion when making decisions
  • Ability to work alone or in a team environment
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Any safety-related training and certificates would be beneficial, but not required
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
  • Any valid safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset (i.e., WHMIS, forklift, fall protection, etc.)
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
